Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2

Peel and thinly slice apples, dropping into a large bowl as you work. Toss in lemon juice to stop them from browning.

Step 3

In a large bowl, combine all of the Apple Crumble Filling. Mix together and then add to a pie pan or 9x9 baking dish.

Step 4

To the same bowl (no need to wipe out) combine the Apple Crumble Topping ingredients. Mix with your fingers until you can clump together.

Step 5

Add the crumble topping to the top of the apples.

Step 6

Bake for 60 minutes, until the topping is golden brown and the apples are bubbling.

Step 7

Remove from the oven and let rest for 30 minutes before serving.

Step 8

Use coconut oil instead of butter in the Apple Crumble Topping.

Step 9

Use Gluten-free oats, and Gluten-free flour in the Apple Crumble Topping.
