Step 1
Combine the potatoes, butter, sugar, baking powder and salt in medium bowl and mix well.
Step 2
Slowly add whipping cream and milk stirring as you go until you’ve got a smooth and even consistency.
Step 3
Add lemon juice, zest from two lemons, vanilla extract, nutmeg, and eggs. Mix well.
Step 4
Pour into crust and bake at 350° for 55 minutes. For a beautiful pie, top with thinly sliced lemon circles around the edge of the pie or, halve the circles and twist each into a bow, placing one for each slice with another slice in the middle. Your pie will look like a Maryland sunrise!
