Step 1

Preheat the pellet smoker grill to 375°F and pick your favorite potatoes.

Step 2

Clean and cut your potatoes into small pieces. If desired, peel the potato before cutting.

Step 3

Lay a section of aluminum foil on your work surface.

Step 4

Put diced potatoes on top of the aluminum foil strip and add 2 tablespoons of water over the potatoes.

Step 5

If desired, top with diced white onions.

Step 6

Add pats of butter to the top in different sections of the potatoes.

Step 7

Season with your favorite seasonings. I like to use Lawry’s Seasoned Salt, Ground Pepper, and Granulated Garlic.

Step 8

Fold the aluminum foil to make a pouch. Poke a couple of holes in the top of the foil.

Step 9

Place the potatoes pouch on the pellet smoker.

Step 10

At about 30 minutes, give the foil pouch a shake and gently toss a little bit too shake up the potatoes. Continue cooking.

Step 11

After cooking for an hour, open the foil pouch up to let the smokey flavor into the potatoes. If making cheesy potatoes, top with your favorite shredded cheese. Continue cooking for 1/2 to 1 hour longer.

Step 12

Remove from the pellet grill and serve immediately.
