Step 1

Combine all liquid ingredients except champagne in a punch bowl.

Step 2

Slap the whole bunch of mint against your hand several times to activate the aromatics

Step 3

and add the mint and lemon to the bowl.

Step 4

Add the Champagne.

Step 5

Stir to combine

Step 6

then add a large block of ice to chill everything and keep it cold.

Step 7

Serve with a ladle into Punch or Rocks glasses.
