Export 4 ingredients for grocery delivery
Step 1
Have a tall glass ready—chill it in advance if possible. Drop two maraschino cherries into the bottom of the glass, then fill it halfway with ice cubes. Pour 1 ounce of grenadine syrup over the ice. Editor's Tip: Use a tall Collins cocktail glass, large wine glass or another type that's large enough to hold 9 ounces of liquid plus ice.
Step 2
Slowly pour 8 ounces of cold ginger ale over the ice; don't let the soda foam over the edge.
Step 3
Top the drink with a stemmed maraschino cherry. Add a straw to the Shirley Temple and serve it immediately. Editor's Tip: Make the drink extra pretty with a red and white paper straw or a cocktail umbrella.
