I find it difficult to find a good feed which has lots of good nutrients and low sugar. I want to keep our lesson horses well fed but calm - not hyped up on sugar. I have Hard keeper OTTBs and easy keeper QHs. I feel that the Proelite gives the best of both worlds - high protein and low sugar, good for my hard working lesson horses as well as my boarders! I only have one horse who needed extra, the rest are happy on the ProElite Showman! ALSO - I find that horses easily switch to this feed without gastrointestinal upset! I see other feeds that will cause some upset if you change feeds, but the showman keeps them healthy happy and fit!
