Step 1
Combine yogurt, 1 garlic clove grated, lemon zest, juice of lemon, and salt in a small bowl.
Step 2
To a large slow cooker add chicken along with 1 garlic clove minced. Pour 1/3 cup of the yogurt sauce over the chicken and toss to coat both sides. Put remaining yogurt sauce in the refrigerator until ready to serve with cooked chicken.
Step 3
Place the lid on and cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 5-You want the chicken to easily shred with a fork.
Step 4
Once chicken is cooked remove to a plate and shred. Pour out all but 1/4 cup of the cooking liquid and add chicken back to the slow cooker. Stir in 1/4 cup more yogurt sauce and serve chicken with fresh lemon slices and additional sauce. See notes below for how to serve Greek chicken.
