In medium size pot, bring 3 cups water to a boil. Add ginger and turmeric (if using fresh) then remove from heat. Pour in honey and stir to dissolve. Set aside to cool to room temperature. Once liquid is cooled to room temperature, stir fresh lemon juice. If using ground turmeric instead of fresh, whisk it in now. Refrigerate overnight, or for at least 8 hours. then strain, discarding solids. Store in airtight container for up to 10 days.To serve, pour turmeric mixture over ice until the serving glass is three-fourths of the way full. Top off with soda water, garnish with fresh cracked black pepper, serve and enjoy!
