Step 1

Place the drained beans into a large bowl and cover with water. Then sprinkle the baking soda into the water. Stir to dissolve and allow to sit for 10 minutes.

Step 2

Next, under slowly running water take the skin off each chickpea by softly pinching the pea between your thumb and pointer finger.

Step 3

Once all of the chickpeas have been deskinned, add them to a food processor along with the garlic. Blend until well combined and in fine crumbles.

Step 4

Next add the rest of the ingredients to the food processor along with the ice cubes.

Step 5

Blend on high until very smooth, approx. 4 minutes.

Step 6

Serve immediately or store in the fridge for up to a week. Enjoy!
