Step 1

If you are using frozen strawberries, thaw them in the microwave.

For the 3-glass serving: Add 1 cup of sparkling wine, 1 1/2 cups of strawberries and 1 Tablespoon of sugar to a blender or food processor

For a big batch: Add 1 750 mL bottle of sparkling wine, 4 1/2 cups of strawberries and 3 Tablespoons of sugar to a blender or food processor

Step 4

Blend until smooth

Step 5

Strain the strawberry juice through a sieve into a bowl or large-mouthed pitcher

Step 6

Store in an air tight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve

Step 7

Fill each glass halfway with sparkling wine.

Step 8

Add enough strawberry juice to fill the rest of the way

Step 9

Garnish with a strawberry slice if desired
