Step 1

Place a bowl onto mixing onto and weigh lentils into it. Set aside

Step 2

Place onion, ginger, garlic, turmeric, garam masala, chilli flakes and oil and chop 3 sec/speed 5.

Step 3

Scrape down sides of mixing bowl with spatula and cook 5 min/100°C/speed 1.

Step 4

Add water to mixing bowl. Place Varoma into position and weigh beans into it. Add broccolini, secure Varoma lid and cook 10 min/Varoma//speed . Set Varoma aside.

Step 5

Place lentils into simmering basket and rinse until water runs clear. Add rinsed lentils and coconut milk to mixing bowl. Place Varoma back into position, stir vegetables to ensure even cooking, then secure Varoma lid and cook 5 min/100°C//speed .

Step 6

Weigh spinach into Varoma, toss spinach amongst the beans and broccolini, secure Varoma lid and cook 4-6 min/100°C//speed  or until vegetables and dahl are cooked to your liking. Season dahl with salt and serve alongside vegetables. Garnish with fresh chilli and lemon juice if desired.
