Step 1
Heat a large skillet to medium high heat and add in the oil. Once the oil is hot add in the chicken and season with salt and pepper. Cook the for about 4 minutes on each side at this point.
Step 2
Start on the sauce. To a small bowl add the cornstarch and water whisk well together. To a small sauce pot on the stove over medium heat add the brown sugar, soy sauce, honey, hoisin sauce, and minced garlic bring this mixture up to a simmer whisking frequently turn the heat to low then whisk in the chicken broth and cornstarch slurry whisk well and let simmer for 1-2 minutes or until the sauce starts to thicken. Remove from heat.
Step 3
To the same pan that the chicken is cooking in add the broccoli and cook for 5-6 minutes or until the broccoli becomes tender.
Step 4
Add in the sauce and cooked rice. Stir well and serve enjoy!
