Export 5 ingredients for grocery delivery
Step 1
Either dice or cut the tempeh into long strips, depending on how you will be using it. I like to add tempeh strips to sandwiches and diced peices to salads.
Step 2
Stir remaining ingredients together in medium bowl.
Step 3
Add the tempeh to the marinade and stir to coat.
Step 4
Heat up a heavy bottomed pan (such as cast iron) over medium heat.
Step 5
Pour the tempeh and marinade into the pan and heat, stirring for about 9-14 minutes, until all of the marinade has cooked off. The tempeh will take on a nice dark coating.
Step 6
Taste the tempeh. If you desire a stronger flavor, drizzle some more liquid smoke over it.
Step 7
Use immediately or cover and store in refrigerator for up to 5 days.
