Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350F and grease your baking pan.

Add the flour, baking soda, and salt into one bowl.

Add a stick of room temperature butter in another bowl and whisk vigorously with a fork.

Add the egg, vanilla extract, brown sugar, and white sugar and beat until the butter mixture is fluffy.
Step 5
Add flour mixture in 1/2 cup at a time, do not over mix. Just mix until the flour is incorporated.
Step 6
Add the chocolate chips and fold them in, don't overmix here either.
Step 7
Stick them in the oven and they should be done in 12-13 minutes (if they're larger cookies.) 8-10 minutes if they're smaller cookies.
Step 8
Let them sit for a few minutes before eating or they'll fall apart
Step 9
Grab a cup of milk, coffee, tea, or scoop of ice cream and enjoy.
