Step 1
First start by soaking the dates in hot water for 15 minutes. This step is not necessary but it makes the texture of the shake smoother. I also find that the dates get caught on the blades of my blender and get a but chunky in the shake but it does not affect the taste if you don't have time to soak!
Step 2
Once the dates are finished soaking add them along with the rest of the shake ingredients to the blender (5 dates, 1 cup almond milk, half of an avocado, 1 frozen banana, 1 1/2 cups spinach, 1/4 tsp peppermint extract, 2 cups ice).
Step 3
Blend on high for one minute until smooth. Pour into two glasses, scoop on your favorite whipped topping and enjoy!
