Step 1

Put the basil, cheese, parsley, pine nuts, and garlic in a food processor with half of the olive oil.

Step 2

Pulse a few times to break down the nuts.

Step 3

Keep pulsing and stream the rest of the oil into the mixture.

Step 4

Pulse/blend until the desired paste-like consistency (pesto is usually a little chunky, not smooth).
