We made these.  We drink Margaritas all the time ... many flavors...by the pool all summer.  These are EXCELLENT!  I am not sure who below had an issue with them but they taste a lot like a pina colada.  We are making these again at Christmas.  One thing we did do ... we bought Silk Coconut Milk (in the fridge section) to replace the can coconut milk.  Additionally we put splenda in to our taste.  To top it off we used Wilton Sanding Sugar (the same stuff you sprinkle on cupackes and cookies in every cake section in any grocery store across the USA) around the rim. One note, use the Silver Tequilla (as the receipe says) as regular golden tequila would obviously give this drink a funky taste.  You want white snow not yellow. :-) .

I love this Christmas margarita. It's different and it's really good I love coconut however you can't taste the coconut milk just so you know. You can always adjust add more I guess if you would like to have more coconut taste I really enjoy it it's refreshing it was a great hit at my Christmas party. Course I like to add a little extra tequila in mine :-)

Loved this drink! They are not overly sweet, which I love, and are just creamy enough. Reminded me of a skinny margarita.

Way too strong! We ended up diluting by taking out half and then totally changed it up by adding a can of pineapple tidbits with the juice. Made it tropical (but no longer had a margarita taste)!

I made this the other night following the directions...I liked them enough.
I would say to add half a can of the coconut milk instead of a whole can to cut down on the "foaminess". The mixture does separate, but I just re-blend.
Overall, I thought it was a neat drink, it's something different, and esthetically pleasing for the holiday.

This recipe is awful! It was just a big glass of slushy tequila. Not enough ice, not enough sweet...I mean the whole thing was really a mess and ended up being a huge waste of tequila. We spent a lot of time trying to doctor it up so as not to waste the tequila, but threw in the towel after we each chugged a glass.

These were horrible.  They tasted awful, the liquids separated, and they were expensive to make.  Don't waste your time or your money.

Followed the recipe and these are AWFUL! Complete waste of tequila!

It's honestly a little embarrassing that this recipe is still up with all the bad reviews. I, like many others, didn't scroll far enough to see all the bad ones and gave it a try and wasted so many ingredients and half a bottle of tequila. Terrible! We tried to fix it by adding this and that, and I never waste alcohol, so we did end up drinking it, but never again. And ya, the coconut milk separates, so keep something around to stir it every now and then, hahah.

Is this a joke? This was the worst drink ever. What a waste of my ingredients. I should’ve read the reviews first.

This is terrible. There must be something wrong with the recipe. Someone below mentions using cream of coconut instead of coconut milk. We couldn’t try this suggestion because we used most of the tequila. Please correct this recipe or remove it.
