In a large mixing bowl, cream butter with sugar until fluffy.
Step 3
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. *TIP: Crack eggs into a medium mixing bowl first, before adding to the other ingredients. If you end up with bits of shell, it's easier to remove them this way.
Step 4
Stir in vanilla and flour.
Step 5
Mix until incorporated.
Step 6
Meanwhile, break chocolate into 1/2 ounce pieces and place in microwave safe bowl. Cook on 1/2 power microwave for about 2 1/2 - 3 minutes. or until completely melted. Take out after 2 minutes and stir.
Step 7
Add melted chocolate to mixture.
Step 8
Stir until chocolate is fully incorporated.
Step 9
Spray a 9X13 baking pan/lasagna pan with non-stick cooking spray, or better yet, use Wilton cake release (this is what I use)

Add batter to prepared pan.
Step 11
Bake in prepared oven for about 30 -35 minutes until cake tester comes out slightly moist. Cool.
Step 12
If using frosting, spread frosting on squares.
Step 13
Sprinkle on chocolate sprinkles.
Step 14
Cut into 16 pieces and serve.
