Step 1
Slice the green tomatoes into 1/4-inch slices and generously coat with salt. Let sit for at least 5 minutes.

Set up a breading station by putting the flour in one bowl, egg (whisked) in the second bowl, and the cornmeal, breadcrumbs, paprika, and cayenne pepper in the third bowl.
Step 3
Pat green tomato slices dry with a paper towel.
Step 4
Preheat air fryer to 380 degrees.
Step 5
Dip each slice of tomato into the flour, then the egg, then finally the cornmeal mixture, making sure to coat the tomato slices fully.
Step 6
Place in the air fryer in a single layer and cook for 7-9 minutes, flipping and spritzing them with oil halfway through.
