Step 1
Cut the tempeh into approximately 3/4 inch-sized cubes.

Preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 3
Add the tempeh cubes into a mixing bowl with the soy sauce, avocado oil, garlic powder, and sriracha/tabasco (optional). Then gently toss everything until coated evenly.
Step 4
When the air fryer is hot, add the tempeh to the air fryer basket in one even layer. Cook the tempeh for 6-9 minutes until crispy. Gently shake the air fryer basket halfway through the cooking time. The exact cooking time can vary by air fryer and tempeh brand.
Step 5
Once done cooking, remove the tempeh from the air fryer and use it as an ingredient in dishes or enjoy it as a snack.
