Preheat oven to 400°F
Step 2
On a lightly floured surface roll out puff pastry until pastry is large enough to wrap around the wheel of brie
Step 3
In a greased rimmed baking dish or pie pan set puff pastry in the center and arrange brie in the middle
Step 4
Top brie with pecans, brown sugar and black pepper
Step 5
Carefully fold corners into the center as shown in the photos above and pinch to close
Step 6
In a small bowl beat egg along with 2 tbsp water
Step 7
Using a pastry brush, coat the outside of the puff pastry
Step 8
Bake on center rack for 35-40 minutes, or until crust is a deep golden brown
Step 9
Serve warm with crackers or fruit
