I had to use broccoli cheese soup because the store didn't have cream of broccoli.  I also used ground pork sausage for variety since I was making another dish with ground beef.  Four cups of tater tots was not enough to cover the bottom of my dish so I drop in a few more.  It turned out great!  I was so nice to have something in a casserole besides pasta.  We'll be having this again soon.

Don't mind the haters I would rather use measuring cups than a scale.

This was very easy and satisfying. My family loved it and I especially loved the ease of preparation. Pay no mind to the kitchen scale comment. Measuring cups are readily available in every kitchen and if you need to weigh your ingredients, this probably isn't the type of recipe you should be considering..

So delicious! Had to use hash rounds as store was out of tater tots, improved it imo. As per others, added more garlic onion powder and cheese. Think I'll add more cream of broccoli soup next time for our preference.  Recipe came out perfect and it took no time to put together.  Husband ate half the pan in one sitting.  Definetly on permanent rotation.

I loved this dish!  Made few changes.  I added a 1 tsp of salt, 1tsp garlic powder and a can of broccoli and cheese.  Everything else i did like recipe said.  And i loved it and my son inhaled it not sure if he chewed!# lovedit

We are empty nesters, so I cut the recipe in half.  Couldn't find the fried onions at the supermarket, so I eliminated them.  The recipe turn out great without them.  We had leftovers enough for a second meal, so I served this again as a lunch meal.  Tasted great reheated also.  Love a recipe that is low in cal but tastes like it is full of calories.

Apparently I have tough critics in my house.  My family didn't care for it but I loved it.  Since I'm the one who made it, I'm giving it 5 stars.  Based on what others wrote, I cooked the broccoli before I added it and I used broccoli cheese soup instead of the cream of broccoli.  Next time I think I might leave the tomatoes out.  It was deilcious.  I kept going back for more.  Can't wait to have leftovers for lunch today.

This is my new favorite casserole recipe.  Made it exactly like the recipe states and it was tasty and reheated beautifully for leftovers.  I love the tator tots in the bottom of the pan, you get more potato flavor and they don't get soggy

Great recipe, scrap the broccoli, add mushroom and cream of mushroom soup, trust me.

This casserole is to die for!  I made it last night and everyone in my family loved it.  Very simple to make.  I followed the recipe exactly but may have used closer to a cup of cheese in the skillet and also at the end.  I found the soup (Campbells) at Vons too, so stores do carry it.  Served this with a salad and it was the perfect meal.

Just ok. Nothing really wrong with it but the flavor did not wow. Wouldn’t make it again.

I thought for sure the tater tots would be soggy, but after reading all the good reviews, I decided to try the recipe.  Baking them for 10 minutes obviously helped them from getting mushy.....this is a great casserole and I will make it again!!!

Not sure what everyone is raving about.  This was horrible. What an embarrassment.  Made it according to the recipe.  Filed the recipe and food in the trash.

This is a great recipe. Because broccoli isn't one of my favorites, I followed another reviewer's suggestion to sub corn for the broccoli and cream of mushroom soup for the cream of broccoli. It was delicious. It was a big hit at the potluck. Yummy!   

We added some mild chunky salsa to the top of this and my family loved it!

We loved this recipe for dinner and for leftovers too. The only difference was I used fat-free broccoli cheddar soup instead of cream of broccoli. This is one of our new weeknight favs.

This looked like it would be "okay", but I decided to make it since it had ingredients in it that I had on hand - except for the soup .  I couldn't find just plain cream of broccoli soup at the store and substituted a can of broccoli and cheese since I wasn't going to run around wasting gas looking for one ingredient.  I also added more garlic powder after tasting it before baking.   Anyway.........it was a hit!  My picky son declared it a "keeper", and a friend who had come for dinner, and is on a diet, finished all that was left!  This is one that I will be making again!!

My family did not like it or take more than two bites.

Great recipe for the family.  I am not a big fan of broccoli so I used cream of mushroom soup and frozen mixed vegetables instead.  It turned out great and we will definitely have this again.

"I didnt make it with the fried-onions, I just added a few finely chopped fresh onions into the meat and it was still good. My husband and 2yr old LOVED IT!

Family really enjoyed this meal. It is so quick and we really enjoyed the texture of creamy and crunchy.  I did omit the tomato however.

Yummy!! I didn't have cream of broccoli, so I used cream of mushroom. I also added a little extra cheese and some more salt. It was delicious!! My whole family loved it!

This was surprisingly good.  I've never liked any tater tot casseroles, but pregnancy is making me try some different things.  I cannot have dairy so I used my normal alternates and it turned out well.

Excellent, the whole family loved it. Definitely make this again.
