Step 1

To make Spicy Chana Chaat, take 2 cups of black chickpea and soak it into the water overnight.

Step 2

Now place a cooker on flame, add soaked black chickpea, 1.5 glass of water, salt as per taste and boil until 3 whistles.

Step 3

After 3 whistle, turn off the flame, and let the pressure release completely.

Step 4

After pressure releases, turn off the flame, remove the excess water and transfer the boiled chickpea into a bowl.

Step 5

Now take a bowl, add 1 tsp of red chilli, 1 tsp of Coriander Powder, 1 tsp of cumin powder, 1/2 tsp of Garam Masala, 1/2 tsp Black salt, 1 tsp Chaat masala and Mix everything well.

Step 6

Now add 3 tbsp of water, mix well and prepare a paste.

Step 7

Now, place a pan on flame, add 1 tbsp of oil and heat well.

Step 8

After the oil is hot, add 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds, 2 pinch asafoetida, 1 tsp of grated ginger, and saute everything on medium flame.

Step 9

Now add the prepared spice paste, mix well and cook on medium flame.

Step 10

After the spices release the oil, add Chana/boiled black chickpea and mix well.

Step 11

Now add salt as per taste, mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes.

Step 12

Now add boiled potato(cut into the diced form) and mix well.

Step 13

Now turn off the flame, transfer the Chana/black chickpea to a bowl and let it cool completely.

Step 14

After the Chana/Boiled Chickpea has cool down, add one finely chopped onion, 2 chopped green chilli, 2-3 tbsp of finely chopped tomatoes, 1 tbsp of chopped mint, finely chopped coriander, 1 tbsp of lemon juice and mix everything well.

Step 15

To searve your Chana Chaat take a bowl, add prepared Chana Chaat to it.
