Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°Fahrenheit. Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.

Add the yellow cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg to a large bowl. Mix until well blended into a dough. Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.

Add the softened cream cheese, remaining 3 eggs, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract to another bowl. Beat until smooth and creamy.

Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cake layer in the pan, spreading it evenly.

Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the center is set. The top should have a slight jiggle but not be too wobbly.
