Step 1

Rub the outside of the orange peel around the rim of a martini or cocktail glass. Drop the orange peel into your cocktail glass or discard it.

Step 2

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add the whiskey, cranberry juice, vermouth, and bitters.

Step 3

Shake well, until the shaker becomes very cold, about 20-30 seconds.

Step 4

Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with frozen cranberry skewers and the orange peel.
