Step 1
Dry Chickpeas: Pat the chickpeas dry using a paper towel - this helps make them as crisp as possible.
Step 2
Season: In a medium bowl, drizzle some olive oil over chickpeas and season with garlic powder, onion powder, red chili powder, salt, and pepper. Toss them well until well coated.
Step 3
Preheat: Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Add the seasoned chickpeas to the air fryer basket and spread them in a single layer (cook in batches if required).Spray some oil on top if required.
Step 4
Air Fry: Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 12-14 minutes or till they are crispy. Shaking the basket couple of times. Mine was cooked perfectly done in 12 minutes.
Step 5
Serve: Take them out and adjust seasoning. Serve while the roasted chickpeas are still warm and crispy.
Step 6
Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the seasoned chickpeas evenly in a single layer. Bake at 425˚F for 20-30 minutes, tossing occasionally or until golden brown and crispy.
