Ingredients: 2-3 lb chuck or shoulder roast, trimmed; 1 large yellow onion, sliced; 1 green bell pepper, sliced; 1 ½ tsp cumin; 2 beef bouillon cubes; 1 tsp oregano; 2 cloves garlic, minced; ¼ cup orange juice; 3 tsp lime juice; 1 pkg hamburger buns; optional toppings: provolone cheese, sliced avocado, and mayonnaise

Food Truck Style Cuban Sandwiches

chuck roast,

yellow onion, sliced

green bell pepper, sliced

½ tsp cumin

beef bouillon cubes

oregano

garlic,

orange juice

lime juice

pkg hamburger buns

toppings: provolone cheese, sliced avocado, and mayonnaise

Place all ingredients except buns in a gallon size zip-top bag. Label and freeze.

When ready to cook, thaw in refrigerator overnight.

Place contents of bag in a slow cooker. Cover and cook on low 8-10 hours.

Shred meat and discard any fat.

Serve on toasted buns or rolls. Add sliced provolone cheese, sliced avocado, and mayonnaise, if desired.
