Glazed Black Pepper Bacon

bacon (about 12 slices)

brown sugar

black pepper

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a rimmed baking pan with 3 layers of foil.

Arrange the bacon on the prepared baking pan in a single layer, then sprinkle evenly with the sugar and pepper. Bake until well browned, 35 to 40 minutes. Drain on paper towels and serve.

Wow, Trisha, I love this, but most important, my meat loving husband loves it! You are one of the best and most realistic cooks that I watch on You Tube. I started out watching chefs that were kind of fancy. I am like you. I learned from my mom. I felt inadequate when I watched fancy chefs and did not know what some of their vocabulary meant. You explain it. It is so simple and I have been doing it for years, just did not understand some of the verbiage they used...example chiffonade!! I know that has nothing to do with the bacon, but between that and your downhome charm, I had to write. Thank you for being you. Plus...I have always been a big fan of your music! Thank you for the encouragement to believe in myself. I am also glad you have your sis as a next door neighbor now. Bless you. Boy, is Garth lucky to have you!!

I had been looking for a sweet and soucy bacon for one of Bloody Mary bar garnishes and this was perfect...not to mention it was good all by itself with brunch!
