Step 1

In a shallow dish, combine balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, and 3 tablespoons oil. Coat steak in marinade and set aside for at least 15 minutes.

Step 2

In a blender, pulse rice wine vinegar, lemon juice, honey, mustard, turmeric, tahini and ½ teaspoon salt. With the blades running, drizzle in ½ cup olive oil until dressing is emulsified. Season with salt.

Step 3

In a bowl, toss kale, radishes and scallions. Dress with three-quarters of the dressing, rubbing it into the leaves. Season with salt to taste and add more dressing if needed. (This salad can handle a heavy coat.)

Step 4

Remove steak from marinade and season on both sides with salt. Heat grill (or grill pan) to medium-high. Grill until char marks appear, about 4-5 minutes per side for medium doneness. Off heat, rest steak for 5-7 minutes. Slice against the grain. and serve alongside kale slaw.
