Step 1
Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium high heat. Cook, crumbling into small pieces. Add the onion and garlic halfway through and cook until softened, about 4-5 minutes.
Step 2
Add the Worcestershire sauce, pepper, thyme, bay leaf and flour. Stir and cook for 2 minutes.
Step 3
Gradually add the beef broth and beef bouillon, followed by the half and half. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook until gravy is thickened, about 5-10 minutes. Taste and adjust seasonings, as needed.
Step 4
Serve over mashed potatoes, biscuits, bread, egg noodles or steamed rice.
