Step 1
Blend shortening and flour until pieces are pea-size.
Step 2
Mix water and vinegar. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of water over part of the mixture; gently toss with a fork. Push moistened dough to side of bowl. Repeat, using 1 tablespoon of water-vinegar mixture at a time, til all the dough is moistened. Divide in half. Form each half into a ball.
Step 3
On lightly floured surface, flatten one dough ball. Roll dough from center to edges into 12 inch circle.
Step 4
Transfer to pie plate. Bake per pie directions OR at 450’F.
