Step 1

Add the sugar and Root Beer Extract to warm water and mix thoroughly in an food-safe container.

Step 2

Add the yeast to warm water and mix thoroughly in a small bowl.

Step 3

Then, add the yeast/water to the sugar/extract and mix thoroughly to make root beer mixture.

Step 4

Pour the root beer mixture into clean bottles leaving an inch of head space.

Step 5

Cap the bottles and place them on their side on a towel at room temperature for 4 days.

Step 6

After 4 days, stand the bottles up in the refrigerator and keep them there until they are used.
