Step 5
Oil your hands lightly, then shape balls of the dough, rolling a mounded soup spoon or tablespoon measure between hands.
Step 6
Roll the balls in the remaining 1/4 cup pecans, if desired.
Step 7
Place the candies on trays lined with wax paper.
Step 8
Cover loosely with wax paper and let ripen at room temperature overnight.
