Export 6 ingredients for grocery delivery
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Step 2
In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree and natural peanut butter until well mixed. If using an egg, add it to the mixture and blend thoroughly.
Step 3
In a separate bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and cinnamon (if using). Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring as you go. Add small amounts of water if the dough is too dry.
Step 4
Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for a few minutes until a firm, pliable consistency is achieved.
Step 5
Take a small portion of the dough, roll it into a 6-inch-long rope, and twist it into a spiral shape. Repeat with the remaining dough.
Step 6
Place the chew twists on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden-brown.
Step 7
Allow the chew twists to cool completely before serving. Store in an airtight container at room temperature, or refrigerate/freeze for extended shelf life.
