Homemade Peanut Butter Dog Treats Recipe

whole wheat flour

preheat oven to 350F

In a large bowl combine flour, baking powder, and the egg. Add peanut butter, water, honey and stir until you have stiff dough. the dough becomes very firm and sticky. you may need to use your hands, or the paddle attachment on your mixer.

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough about 1/2 inch thick and use a cookie cutter to make fun shapes. the treats barely spread and rise, so get creative with your shapes.

Bake for 20 minutes, until golden.

Yogurt Peanut Butter Banana Dog Treats Recipe

Large Banana, sliced

Put all ingredients into a food processor or blender. Blend until creamy.

Fill a silicone mold or an ice cube tray.

Micah, my baby, he's 65lbs, absolutely loved these!  He even jumped up on the counter an licked the other tray almost dry! Bad dog!  Anyway, I have the paws and firehydrant cookie cutter trays and while they're cute and work great, beware, they're not sturdy enough for liquid recipes.. The recipe slides all over the place. I had to put a cookie sheet underneath it to put it in the freezer. It was falling all over the tray and on the floor. I think these sheets are made for cookie treats! HOWEVER, HE LOVED THEM!??

Just want to share that I have two labs who are big chewers.  I take about 10 large kongs, cover the small opening with plastic wrap and secure with rubber bands, put together in a dish with wide openings up, fill with the yogurt mixture and freeze.  Takes my dogs about 20 minutes to empty a frozen kong.  They LOVE these!!

Results may vary.The flax and turmeric can be left out if you don&#039;t have any on hand, but they are a nice healthy addition. If you leave out the flax, add another 1/4 cup of flour. You can also use beef or chicken stock instead of the hot water &amp; bouillon powder, however the treats may not keep as long afterwards. Or you can eliminate the bouillon powder, but the biscuits won&#039;t be as tasty! The brown sugar is optional too. It was helpful for Sierra because she would get a weird head-shaky thing which was possibly tied to low blood sugar. About 5 cups of treats, depending on how you cut them.

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.

Dissolve the bouillon in the hot water. Set aside.

Combine the flour, brown sugar, ground flax, and turmeric in a mixer bowl. Using a dough hook, mix in hot water mixture, peanut butter and egg. Continue mixing until the dough ball is smooth, occasionally scraping down the sides of the bowl to help everything mix together.

Roll out the dough to a little less than 1/2&quot; thick. Cut into desired dog biscuit shapes (we use hearts for &quot;good dogs&quot; and small circles or small bone shapes for training incentives). Place the cut out dog biscuits on the prepared sheet pans.

Bake for about 35-40 minutes or until the biscuits feel dried and fairly hard (they will harden a bit more after cooling). Baking time will vary depending on how thick the biscuits were rolled out. As long as the biscuits are cooked fully dry, they will keep for several weeks or more.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees and brush a large baking sheet with a little bit of the coconut oil.

Peel sweet potato and thinly slice into rounds using either a mandoline or a knife. Rounds should be thin, but not translucent (or they&#39;ll burn more easily). I use the 1/16&quot; settings on the mandoline.

Place rounds on prepared baking sheet and lightly brush the tops with coconut oil. Sprinkle a little cinnamon and ginger over each.

Bake for 8 minutes. Remove from oven and flip each chip. Rotate baking sheet and return to oven for 3-5 more minutes, until sweet potatoes are getting crisp around edges but not getting too brown. Remove and let sweet potato chips rest for about 5 minutes so they can further crisp up.

Homemade Dog Treats without Flour

quick oats (divided)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Divide the quick oats. Leave 1 cup whole, pulse the remaining 2 cups in a food processor or blender to create a coarse flour-like consistency.

Combine the whole and ground oats and cinnamon in a large bowl.

Add the pumpkin and applesauce and combine well.

If you want to have dough you can roll out and cut, place the dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.

Dough

Press the dough into silicone cookie/candy molds.

Place the molds on baking sheets.

Silicone Mold Method

Roll the dough out onto a flat surface and until about ½ inch thick. If the dough is still too sticky to roll, add a little more ground oats to make it drier.

Using your favorite cookie cutter, cut out as many shapes as possible. Re-roll and form as necessary until all the dough is used up.

Place the cut out treats on a baking sheet. You can line the sheet with parchment paper or non-stick mat if desired for easy cleanup.

Roll and Cut Method

Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

Transfer the treats to a wire rack and cool them to room temperature.

Store treats in an airtight container.

I’ve made lots of dog cookies over the years and this recipe is by far the best and easiest to make. I didn’t put the dough in the fridge before rolling and had no problems. It goes into the silicone moles so easy. I rolled the dough out using my hands and used some small cookie cutters and the just a pizza wheel for square shapes. Best of all my girl loves them and my house smells amazing.

Add olive oil to a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add cubed chicken.

Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until chicken is just cooked through.

Stir chicken stock, rice, and parsley into the skillet.

Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat to low. Cover skillet and simmer for 15-20 minutes, until rice is cooked and tender.

Stir in chopped carrots and peas until warmed through.

Please don't feed your dog rotisserie chicken, it's loaded with salt and fat. You need to also be careful if there is onion and garlic in the seasoning. Please follow this recipe that uses boneless skinless breast meat.
