Step 1
In a bowl, combine the water, oil and sugar.

With a stand mixer or food processor (use the kneading hook or plastic blade respectively), combine the flour, yeast and salt. Add the water mixture and mix on medium speed or process until the dough forms a soft ball.

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead until smooth, about 5 minutes. Shape into a ball and place in a clean, lightly oiled bowl. Cover the bowl with a damp tea towel and set the bowl in a warm, humid location for about 1 hour.
