Step 1
Preheat oven to 180C/160C. In a large bowl, combine mince, sauces, herbs and plenty of salt and pepper. Using clean hands, mix very well, then form into 15 golfball-sized balls.
Step 2
Heat 1tbsp oil in a frypan. Add 4-5 meat patties and flatten with the back of a spatula. Cook for 2 minutes each side until just cooked through.
Step 3
Meanwhile, in a separate pan, heat remaining oil and cook onions for 5 minutes over gentle heat until starting to brown.
Step 4
Try to keep the dinner rolls joined together as a slab, and slice them in half horizontally. Place the bottle halves in a deep baking dish that holds them all snugly. Place a cooked beef patty on each roll, top with 1-2 tsp tomato sauce, then add some cooked onions and plenty of grated cheese. Carefully replace top halves of bread rolls on top. Bake for 5 minutes, then remove from oven and brush with melted butter. Return to the oven for a further 5 minutes.
Step 5
Serve in the baking dish and allow everyone to pull apart their own slider.
