Step 1
Press the tofu with a tofu press or by wrapping it in a kitchen towel and placing a heavy board or pan on top (refer to photo above). Alternatively, freeze and thaw or boil for 5 minutes and then pat the tofu dry. Cube the tofu into roughly 1/2-3/4 inch pieces.
Step 2
Pre-heat air fryer at 380 F.
Step 3
Add the tofu into a bowl along with the tamari. Place a lid over the bowl and shake to toss. Sift in the corn starch and add in the nutritional yeast. Place the lid over again and shake to toss until the pieces of tofu are all coated.
Step 4
Transfer the tofu into the air fryer and air fry at 380 F for 7 minutes. Shake the pan and air fry for another 7-8 minutes or until crispy.
