Step 1
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat add ground beef. Stir well and break up the beef into small pieces and cook until evenly browned but not fully browned yet, about 5 minutes.

Add in onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Continue to cook until the meat is evenly browned and is no longer pink. The onion should also start to soften.
Step 3
Add half of the marinara sauce, a layer of broken uncooked lasagna noodles.
Step 4
Add the remaining marinara sauce on top.
Step 5
Bring to a boil and then cover and turn the heat down to medium. Allow it to simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the noodles are tender. You may need to occasionally add in some water if you find the sauce is getting dry. You may also want to occasionally stir the noodles into the meat sauce.
Step 6
Add a few dollops of ricotta cheese on top and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Step 7
Cover with mozzarella cheese.
Step 8
Turn the broiler on high and broil for 3-5 minutes until cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden. Serve with fresh chopped parsley on top.
