Step 1
Preheat your oven to 375°F and spray a 2-3 quart casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.

Cook the penne pasta as per directions on the package to 1 minute less than al dente. Drain well and cool under cold running water.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and cook the onions until translucent.

Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook, breaking it up as you go, until no longer pink.

Crumble hamburger buns over the top of the casserole, then drizzle with melted butter.
Step 9
Bake covered for 20 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes or until browned and bubbly.
