Step 1
Season the steak slices with salt and pepper.
Step 2
Melt the butter in a large skillet (preferably cast iron) over medium heat.
Step 3
Add the beef and cook for approximately 2 minutes or more depending on size of steak and preferred doness, then flip and saute the slices for about 1-2 minutes more.
Step 4
Remove the slices of steak from the skillet and place on a plate.
Step 5
Add the shallots and garlic and saute.
Step 6
Remove the skillet from the heat and add the spiced rum. There might be an initial spark, don’t be alarmed, if any.

Saute for 60 seconds until alcohol burns away.
Step 8
Mix the heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and tomato paste together briefly before adding to the skillet , or you can equally add all the ingredients and Stir together for 1 minute.
Step 9
Return the meat to the skillet and flip the meat to coat in sauce or spoon sauce over steak
Step 10
Plate the filets and top with parsley to garnish.
