Refreshing sweet strawberries that are gently either quartered or sliced marinated with sugar and served over either homemade vanilla ice cream or, if you are like me and do not have an ice cream maker, then store-bought would work like a charm.

Strawberries with Vanilla Ice Cream

strawberries (cleaned and sliced strawberries)

tbsp sugar (1 tablespoon sugar)

ice cream (vanilla ice cream)

Place the sliced strawberries in a bowl and let rest with sugar for 20 or so minutes.

Place the desired amount of ice cream in a glass and pour over the strawberries
