Step 1
In a medium bowl, combine the drained tuna, diced jalapeño, shallot, celery, mayonnaise, dijon mustard, capers, sweet relish, garlic, fresh chopped dill, lemon zest + lemon juice, and salt/pepper- to taste. Stir the mixture well to thoroughly combine. Give the tuna salad a taste test and adjust with more salt/pepper, as desired.
Step 2
Cover the bowl with a lid or plastic wrap and transfer to the refrigerator to marinate for at least 30 minutes. This gives the tuna salad a chance for the flavors to enhance and settle.
