This easy banana bread baked with brown sugar and melty chocolate chips is always a year-round favorite making regular appearances with my morning coffee in the kitchen. Just a few nicely spotted ripe bananas are enough to bring sweetness, moisture, and delicious taste to this easy banana bread with 2 bananas.

Easy Chocolate Chip Banana Bread with 2 Bananas

Ripe Bananas (smashed

Brown Sugar

Flour

Butter

Vanilla

Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips (optional)

tsp Baking Soda

Pre-heat your oven to 325 degrees F and spray a 9 x 5 bread loaf pan with cooking spray or thoroughly rub inside all over with a bit of butter. Dust the greased surface evenly with a layer of flour. Turn the bread pan as needed to help the flour coat the interior of the pan. Tap the pan to remove excess flour and set aside.

Grab a large bowl and peel and toss in your two overripe bananas. Mash your bananas with a fork until until they form a soft gooey consistency. Set aside.

In a separate medium bowl, grab a sifter and set it over your bowl. Add all purpose flour, salt, and baking soda. Shake the sifter to combine dry ingredients and clear any lumps as the dry mixture passes through and into the bowl. Set aside.

Returning to the large bowl with the smashed bananas, splash in your vanilla extract, egg, brown sugar, and melted butter. Using a hand mixer or spatula, stir everything until thoroughly mixed and combined.

Pour half of the sifted flour mixture into the large mixing bowl with banana mixture and combine using your hand mixer or spatula. Now pour in the second half of the sifted flour mixture and continue to stir until flour is evenly mixed into the batter.

Pour the finished batter into your prepared pan and toss in the semi-sweet chocolate chips (if using). Gently swirl the semi-sweet chocolate chips throughout the batter using a spoon or spatula to spread them around inside the loaf pan.

Bake the banana bread in your 325 degrees F preheated oven for about an hour or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the loaf comes out clean.

Let banana bread loaf cool in the pan for 15 to 20 minutes before tipping over to remove from the pan. Serve warm.

Cup White Granulated Sugar (- 100 grams)

Cup Sugar

Cups Flour ((all purpose flour) - 240 grams)

Teaspoon Vanilla Extract (- 5 milliliters)

Teaspoon Baking Soda (- 5 grams)

Teaspoon Baking Powder (- 4 grams)

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

If necessary, grease/spray the bread pan or use baking parchment paper to line the bread pan.

Mash bananas with a fork.

Lightly beat eggs.

Soften the butter in a microwave.

Stir bananas, eggs, butter (or oil), milk and white &amp; brown sugars together in a large mixing bowl. Mix until fully blended.

Mix in remaining ingredients. Stir until the batter is fully mixed.

Optional – If you want to enhance this 2 banana bread recipe, you can stir in 1 cup of your family’s favorite dessert ingredient (i.e. chocolate chips or chopped walnuts) after you have mixed the batter.

Pour the finished batter into a nonstick bread pan. Smooth out the top of the batter within the bread pan.

Bake in the oven for 60-65 minutes at 325 F or until golden brown.

Take bread pan out of oven and let the banana bread cool down in the bread pan for 10 minutes. Do not remove the banana bread from the bread pan during this 10 minute cool down period. Use oven mitts as the bread pan will be very hot coming out of the oven.

Optional - Right after taking the bread pan out of the oven, use a long wooden skewer to test if the banana bread is completely cooked. Wear oven mitts as the bread pan will be hot. See the tips section for more details on this classic &quot;toothpick&quot; test.

After 10 minutes, remove the banana bread from the bread pan. Place the banana bread on a cooling rack in order to completely cool. This cool down may take 1-2 hours. Gently slide a silicon spatula between the banana bread and the bread pan walls if the banana bread is stuck in the pan.
