Preheat oven to 450.

Cut sour cream into biscuit mix, add 7-Up. Makes a very soft dough.

Sprinkle additional biscuit mix on board or table and pat dough out. Melt 1/4 cup butter in a 9 inch square pan. Place cut biscuits in pan and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Bisquick baking mix

7-Up soda

Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).

Pour melted butter into a 9x13-inch baking dish, ensuring the bottom is evenly coated.

In a large mixing bowl, combine 4 cups Bisquick baking mix and 1 cup sour cream until crumbly.

Pour 1 cup 7-Up soda into the mixture and stir until just combined (dough will be sticky).

Turn dough onto a well-floured surface and sprinkle flour on top.

Gently pat dough to about 1-inch thickness.

Use a biscuit cutter or round cookie cutter to cut out biscuits.

Re-roll scraps to make additional biscuits as needed.

Place biscuits in the prepared baking dish, close together but not touching.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until tops are golden brown.

Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Enjoy warm with butter, jam, or your favorite spread.

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.  Add butter to a 9x13-inch baking dish and place in the oven for 5-7 minutes to melt the butter. Keep an eye on the butter, as you do not want it to burn. Remove the pan from the oven.

In a large bowl, mix together 4 cups Bisquick, 7up, and sour cream.  The dough will be quite sticky. Sprinkle 1/4 cup Bisquick over a small work area. Spoon dough over top.  Sprinkle 1/4 cup Bisquick over the dough.  Dust hands with Bisquick.

Work the dough by patting and folding. Repeat until the dough is workable. Pat the dough out to 1 inch thick. Dip biscuit cutter in Bisquick. Cut the biscuits and place them in the baking dish with the melted butter. Rework the dough just enough to pat it out to cut any remaining biscuits.

Bake for 12-14 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.

I love how easy these biscuits are! And the ingredients are ones we always have on hand (usually Sprite instead of 7up, but it works perfectly well in these). My boys love when they are fresh from the oven.

Quick, easy and delicious.  Perfect when the visitors pop over.  Get a brew going ... they'll have a treat soon enough!

Texture of these biscuits were so light and fluffy. I have never tried using 7-Up in baking, but these were so darn good. I could enjoy experimenting with this.

Wow — 7-Up in biscuits! I love easy recipes that use unexpected ingredients. Definitely loved trying this recipe for a weekend brunch. I did use dairy-free sour cream and it worked great anyways! Thanks for sharing this gem

This sounds really good. Would any lemon-lime soda work? I buy the cheap stuff at Costco. LOL.

These are insanely good—and I could NOT believe how simple the ingredients are! I never would’ve thought to use 7-Up in biscuits, but it makes such a difference!

I loved how they were light brown and crunchy on the bottom with the butter melted in the pan.  The only drawback was they seemed to leave a strange taste in my mouth afterward.  Maybe it was the 7up. 🤷‍♀️. I served mine with leftover chicken in a white sauce with peas and carrots and then had half a biscuit with jelly afterward.

These biscuits were so good. We really loved them and they are so incredibly easy.

My children are always super hungry when they get back from school so it is always nice to make quick and easy biscuits such as this for them
