You only need 4 simple ingredients for these light and fluffy 7UP biscuits!

7UP Biscuits

Bisquick all-purpose baking mix

(4 ounces) full-fat sour cream, cold

7UP soda (or other lemon-lime soda), cold

Pour the melted butter into an 8-inch baking dish, or into a 9-inch or 10-inch cast iron skillet.

Place the Bisquick in a large mixing bowl. Add the sour cream. Using a pastry cutter, fork, or two knives, cut the sour cream into the baking mix until little pea-size clumps form.

Pour in the soda and stir just until combined and there are no pockets of dry flour.

Turn the dough onto a well-floured work surface. Flour your hands and fold the dough over onto itself 6-8 times. Pat the dough into a rectangle that’s about 1-inch thick.

Use a floured round biscuit cutter to punch out the biscuits (do not twist the cutter). Arrange the biscuits in the pan with the melted butter. Re-roll the scraps and cut out additional biscuits.

Cover the biscuits with plastic wrap, and chill in the freezer for about 15 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 425°F.

Bake the biscuits until golden brown on top, about 20-25 minutes. Brush the warm biscuits with 1-2 more tablespoons of melted butter.

These fluffy, buttery 7up Biscuits are perfect for a weekend brunch. Best served warm with sweet cream butter and some jam, they're a delicious breakfast treat that everyone will love!

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.  Add butter to a 9x13-inch baking dish and place in the oven for 5-7 minutes to melt the butter. Keep an eye on the butter, as you do not want it to burn. Remove the pan from the oven.

In a large bowl, mix together 4 cups Bisquick, 7up, and sour cream.  The dough will be quite sticky. Sprinkle 1/4 cup Bisquick over a small work area. Spoon dough over top.  Sprinkle 1/4 cup Bisquick over the dough.  Dust hands with Bisquick.

Work the dough by patting and folding. Repeat until the dough is workable. Pat the dough out to 1 inch thick. Dip biscuit cutter in Bisquick. Cut the biscuits and place them in the baking dish with the melted butter. Rework the dough just enough to pat it out to cut any remaining biscuits.

Bake for 12-14 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.

I love how easy these biscuits are! And the ingredients are ones we always have on hand (usually Sprite instead of 7up, but it works perfectly well in these). My boys love when they are fresh from the oven.

Quick, easy and delicious.  Perfect when the visitors pop over.  Get a brew going ... they'll have a treat soon enough!

Texture of these biscuits were so light and fluffy. I have never tried using 7-Up in baking, but these were so darn good. I could enjoy experimenting with this.

This sounds really good. Would any lemon-lime soda work? I buy the cheap stuff at Costco. LOL.

These are insanely good—and I could NOT believe how simple the ingredients are! I never would’ve thought to use 7-Up in biscuits, but it makes such a difference!

I loved how they were light brown and crunchy on the bottom with the butter melted in the pan.  The only drawback was they seemed to leave a strange taste in my mouth afterward.  Maybe it was the 7up. 🤷‍♀️. I served mine with leftover chicken in a white sauce with peas and carrots and then had half a biscuit with jelly afterward.

These biscuits were so good. We really loved them and they are so incredibly easy.

My children are always super hungry when they get back from school so it is always nice to make quick and easy biscuits such as this for them
