Make sure you push the plunger in about half way (as you won&#39;t be adding too much water)

Add your 18g of coffee to your inverted AeroPress

Stir to make sure all your coffee is wet - be a little aggressive, you need to remove any clumps.

Add the lid, start your timer and wait 90 seconds.

After 90 seconds, flip AeroPress, give it a little swirl to make sure no grounds are stuck to the side.

Press slowly and gently. For this recipe, please push right through until after the hiss.

This should yield 65-70grams of strong coffee.

Top up with warm milk (steamed or frothed if you can) and enjoy!

A simple Aeropress recipe for a filter like coffee, as used in Tim Wendelboe cafe in Oslo, Norway.

gramsrams of Medium ground coffee (Something light, of your choice)

Rinse the paper filter with running tap water for 10 seconds

Use 14 grams of freshly fine filter ground coffee (light roast)

Pour 200g of water at about 96°C over the coffee.

Place the handle on the Aeropress in order to prevent the water from draining through the filter.

After 60 second steep time, take the handle off, stir 3 times back to front.... it&#39;s important to only stir 3 times again here, if you stir less it will be under-extracted, stir more and it will be over-extracted

Then place the handle on top of the aeropress and press the contents into a large cup or pitcher by using your body weight

Set your AeroPress inverted and wet double paper filters with hot water.

Set your water temperature at 81 celsius degrees, put the coffee in and fill up with 70 grams of water.

Start timer and swirl your AeroPress around for 15 seconds.

Fill up with the remaining amount of water. 

Wait until 1 minute, then put the cap on.

Wait until 1:30, then plunge until around 1:45.

Set brewer in standard position on a server. Don&#39;t rinse or preheat the brewer (it doesn&#39;t make any difference).

Place on scales and then add water, aiming to wet all the coffee during pouring.

Start a timer, and immediately place the piston piece into the top of the brewer, about 1cm in. This creates a vacuum to stop the coffee dripping through.

Holding the brewer and the piston, gently swirl the brewer.

Quick & simple. Guaranteed happiness with this clean, balanced and sweet cup.

Blooming - add 30g water, stir 5x, wait until 30s

At 30s, pour water until 180gr then stir again 5x

Place the Aeropress on top of the mug/server and add your coffee grounds

Add 250ml of water (=filled almost to the top)

Put the plunger in to stop the water dripping through the filter

At 2:00 press for round about 30-40 seconds

Grind 40g fresh roasted coffee (1-2 weeks makes best crema).

Preheat your AP with the Prismo attachement screwed on.

Use fresh filtered water just off the boil.

Start the timer and pour slowly 100g of water (takes you 10-20 secs).

Now stir like crazy for 20-30 seconds (I like to go with 25 secs).

When the timer hits the one minute mark, put the AP on a mug or thick glass and put the plunger on.

Now press very hard at the beginning, to compress the puck and keep pressing hard and even till the plunger reaches the coffee bed.

You should get a nice crema (should last at least 30 secs, if it doesn&#39;t maybe the coffee beans were not fresh enough or your pressing was to weak or stirring not long enough).

A Moka Pot style recipe using the AeroPress

Add a filter paper to the bottom and add your ground coffee, then shake it to level the bed.

Compress the puck in some way (usually a small spice bottle is ok) and then put a paper filter on the puck (or a shower screen of a moka filter).

Add your water (if you can&#39;t measure it, up to the 2) and press gently. Stop at the first drops.

Then, press gently.  You can stop at the hiss or press to the puck, it does not change a lot.

Thick &amp; Clean - an AeroPress Recipe

coffee (Washed/Medium-Dark Roast)

Set your AeroPress standard and wet a paper filter over the Fellow Prismo with hot water.

Set your water temperature at 98 celsius degrees.

Put the coffee in the plunger and pour over 20 grams of water, stir gently for 10 seconds.

Let bloom for 20 seconds. Preheat your cup while your coffee bed is blooming.

Fill up with the remaining amount of water and stir gently for 10 seconds again.

Wait 20 seconds and place the handle on top of the AeroPress.

Press the contents into your preheated cup by using your body weight.

Swirl your cup a bit and let it rest for 30 seconds at least. You&#39;re basically using boiling water and a preheated cup, so you&#39;ll need to rest it a bit depending on your room temperature.

Is it possible to brew moka pot style coffee with AeroPress coffee makers? Yes, let’s do it! Here you can find one of my favorite coffee recipes. I’ve taught this recipe to my friends and my trainees!Filter: AeroPress paper filter or AeroPress metal filter - either will work.Orientation: Standard method.

Moka Pot Style Coffee with Your AeroPress Coffee Maker

Heat water to desired temperature (I recommend 198-200°F/92-93°C for a medium roast and 201-203°F/94°C-95°C for a light roast.)

Add the coffee to the brew chamber, then pour in the hot water up to the number 2. Gently stir 5 times.

Insert the plunger into the top of the AeroPress chamber to a depth of about half an inch or 2 centimeters. This allows you to keep the ground coffee in contact with the water for as long as you like. (This good tip was suggested to me by my dear friend Luciano, who works for Nowhere, a cool specialty coffee shop in Milan.) If you have an AeroPress Original, AeroPress Clear, or AeroPress Go coffee maker, you can use the AeroPress Flow Control Filter Cap attachment to extend your brewing time!

After one minute, start to press gently. If you use a medium roast, you can start pressing sooner than that.

Note: The most important differences between coffee brewed via moka pot and coffee brewed via AeroPress coffee makers concerns the length of brew time and how clean the resulting coffee is. You will spend less time making a cup of coffee with an AeroPress coffee maker, and you will always get a cleaner cup than you get when brewing with a moka pot!

How to Use an Aeropress to Make Coffee

Water (preferably filtered)

In an electric teapot, heat water to 200 to 205°F.

Grind 3 tablespoons (18 grams) coffee beans to a medium fine grind.

Place the circular filter into the basket of the Aeropress and wet it so it is fully damp. Screw the basket onto the end of the Aeropress.

Pour the coffee grounds into the Aeropress, then place it on top of an empty mug.

When the water is ready, pour a little bit onto the coffee grounds until grounds are wet. Wait about 30 seconds for coffee to bloom.

Pour water into the Aeropress, up to line 3 1/2. Using the provided stir stick, stir about 20 times. Don’t worry if coffee level drops slightly.

Insert the plunger into the top of the Aeropress. Gently press down (avoid the urge to force). Wait until the plunger is pressed fully to the bottom; you will hear a hiss of air being released (this process takes about 30 seconds or so).

Remove the Aeropress, unscrew the basket and hold it over a compost bucket or garbage. Press down on the plunger to release the filter and grounds. Rinse the Aeropress so it is ready for future use. Enjoy your perfect cup of coffee!
