Crispy Air Fryer Breaded Pork Chops

Preheat air fryer to 400°F.  Spray air fryer basket with olive oil spray. Prepare the cutlets.

In a bowl whisk egg and season to taste with salt and pepper. Set aside.

In another bowl, add Italian flavored bread crumbs.

Dip the chops into the egg wash, then into flavored bread crumbs.

Place the seasoned pork chop into the prepared air fryer basket. Spritz with olive oil spray. Repeat with remaining pieces.

Cook the pork chops for about 6 minutes, flip the chops. Spritz again with olive oil spray and cook another 6 minutes. Internal temperature of pork should be 145°.

Serve with your favorite side dishes.

Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Pork Tenderloin

pork tenderloin (about 1 1/2 lbs)

Season pork with salt and pepper. Lay the bacon on a cutting board to be roughly the same size as the tenderloin.

Cut two bacon strips in half (since the ends are thinner, they don’t need a whole strip). Lay two halves next to each other, then four full strips, then the other two halves next to each other.

Carefully lay the tenderloin over the bacon. Tightly roll up the pork jelly-roll style, starting with a long side. Tie the roast at 2- inch intervals with kitchen string each about 12-inches long.

Carefully cut the tenderloin in half to fit in the air fryer.

Put the tenderloin inside and fry at 400 F for 20 minutes turning halfway, until an instant read thermometer inserted into the center reads 145-150 F. Let the pork rest about 5 minutes before slicing. Slice into 12 slices.

Air-fry rather than oven-roast a pork joint to save on energy costs and ensure perfectly crisp crackling. Serve with apple sauce and your favourite sides

Remove the pork from the fridge 20-30 mins before cooking. Pat the skin dry, then score it with a sharp knife to make a diamond pattern being careful not to cut through to the flesh. Rub the scored skin all over with the oil and season well with salt.

Put the pork joint in your air-fryer and cook at 210C for 20 mins. Reduce the temperature to 160C and cook for 40-50 mins (for 1kg) or 1 hr-1 hr 10 mins (for 1.5kg). Check that the juices run clear, or the internal temperature reads 70C on a digital thermometer.

The crackling should be crisp, but if it’s not, you can remove the skin from the meat, then cover the meat and leave to rest for 20 mins while you cook the skin at 220C for 15-20 mins. Otherwise, leave the joint rest uncovered for 10-20 mins. Slice and serve with apple sauce, if you like.
