I made as written and overall it was great! Super easy, fast and tasty. I would agree that more could be done in the spice department. Next time I will likely add red chili flakes for heat, and perhaps will add more garlic and different cheeses. All in all however, a great weeknight dinner.

Made this tonite, it was good but I agree it needed mor flavor. I also wish it was creamer as it came out kind of dry. Think I'll add more seasoning and try to make it creamier if I make it again.

I just made this recipe adapting for items I had/didn’t have during lockdown. I only had dry pesto tortellini so pre cooked that and added it. I used diced broccoli instead of peas and cheddar instead of Swiss. The family cleaned their plates. I think the sharp cheddar I used gave a stronger flavor than the Swiss would have.

Subbed butternut squash & mascarpone ravioli to add another layer or two of flavour. Delish, indeed!

OK, clearly I missed a step here- are you supposed to make it with fresh tortellini, versus dried/packaged?  Or maybe cook the tortellini first?  I made exactly as written, tortellini was dry, undercooked... too much of it as well, called for 1.5 lbs... and it burned the bottom of the pan it was so dry.  Had to throw out dinner and soak the pan overnight to have a prayer of salvaging it.  What gives, can someone explain what I missed here?  As written, this recipe is ALL WRONG.

Made it exactly as the recipe stated and pretty much no one liked it. Swiss cheese with pasta is just wrong. Definitely won't make again. Looked good though.

Trim away and discard the long piece of fat running down the side of the steaks. <a href="https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/howto/guide/kitchen-knives-how-buy-best">Cut</a> each steak in half and put on a <a href="https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/content/kimberley-wilsons-top-5-baking-trays">baking tray</a>, then transfer to the freezer and freeze for 40 mins.

Heat the oil in a heavy-based pan or <a href="https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/review/test-best-casserole-dishes">casserole dish</a> set over a medium heat. Add the onion and peppers along with a good pinch of salt and fry for 20 mins, or until the onions are golden and sticky. Add the vinegar and cook for a further 5 mins. Season to taste.

Using a sharp knife, slice the steak as thinly as possible and pile the slices into four portions. Heat a skillet over a high heat until almost smoking. Put one portion of the steak slices in the pan in a pile that's roughly the length of your rolls. Fry for 3 mins over a high heat until some of the steak is cooked through, with pink bits remaining. Pile a quarter of the onion mixture on top, as well as a quarter each of the cheese slices and the mozzarella. Continue to cook undisturbed over a medium heat for 5-10 mins until the meat is brown and crisp around the edge and the cheeses have melted. Split one of the rolls open and carefully scoop the meat and cheese mixture into it. Repeat with the remaining meat, onions, cheese and rolls.

1. Whisk together egg, milk and pickle juice, and pour into a large ziplock bag or bowl. Add chicken pieces and marinate in the refrigerator for 2-4 hours.2. Combine flour, powdered sugar, malted milk powder, baking soda, dry mustard, paprika, and salt and pepper in a large ziplock bag or large paper grocery bag. Shake to combine. Remove chicken from the marinade and add into the bag. Shake to coat the chicken completely.3. Heat half the oil in a large skillet or dutch oven over medium-high heat (6 or 7 out of 10.) Test the oil by dropping in a bit of the flour mixture or a few droplets of water. If it sizzles, the oil is ready. If it pops, lower the temperature a bit.4. Gently place chicken pieces into the oil with tongs. Do this in 2 batches, as you don’t want to overcrowd the pan. Cook the chicken for 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown on one side. Turn the chicken over and allow to cook for 3-4 more minutes. Remove to a paper-towel lined plate. Heat the remaining oil and continue with the other half of the chicken pieces.5. Stir together the honey mustard dipping sauce ingredients, and serve with the hot chicken bites.

Heat the oil in a frying pan and sizzle the onion for 10-15 mins. Add the garlic, spices and green pepper and fry for 1 min more.

Tip in the tomatoes, stock and bay leaf, bring to the boil and simmer for 20 mins until thick. Season and stir in the spring onions. Leave to cool before serving. Will keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to four days.
