Honey Apple Bars

all purpose flour

granulated sugar (or 1/3 cup honey (start

almonds

tsp baking powder

tsp salt

unsalted butter

water

apple

lemon juice

tbsp all purpose flour

honey

tsp cinnamon

nutmeg

tsp vanilla extract

heavy whipping cream

salt

cinnamon

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Prepare a 8×8-inch baking pan with the non-stick coating of your choice.

For the crumb and crust, whisk together flour, sugar, ground almonds, baking powder and salt.

Next, cut in the cold butter using two forks or a pastry cutter then slowly mix in the egg yolk and cold water (if you using honey instead of sugar, add in here as well). Don&#39;t worry if the dough seems really crumbly. It should be!

Next take half of the crumble mixture and press into the prepared pan. The rest should be saved for the top of the bars.

For the Crumble and Crust

Stir together apple slices, lemon juice, flour, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla until combined.

To assemble, evenly add apple filling to the top of the crust.

Next sprinkle the remaining crumble over the top of the apple filling.

Bake for 30-38 minutes or until golden brown and set.

Cool bars to room temperature then cut and serve.

For the Apple Filling

While bars bake, add butter and honey to a medium sized pot over medium heat and allow the butter to melt and combine with the honey.  Once butter completely melts, stir together over medium high heat for about 5-6 minutes or until it has thickened somewhat.

Whisk in the cream and bring to a boil then remove from heat.  Finally stir in the vanilla, salt and cinnamon and allow it to thicken and cool a bit.  Drizzle caramel sauce over completed bars and enjoy!

Apple Pie Wontons in the Air Fryer are my new favorite dessert! Just a handful of ingredients make this apple and caramel sweet treat.

Apple Pie Wontons

Wonton wrappers

Apple pie filling ((15 ounces))

sugar

Spray oil

Caramel sauce

Powdered sugar ((for garnish))

Stir the apple pie filling, sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.

Lay the Wonton wrappers out on flat surface close to the air fryer.

Place 1 1/2 teaspoons of the filling in the middle of the wonton wrapper.

Place a dollop of caramel sauce on top of the filling.

Dip a teaspoon in the caramel sauce and using the back of the spoon, run it around the edges of the wonton wrapper.

Pull the 4 edges of the wrapper up in a little bunch and pinch together to secure the wonton.

Place in the air fryer and when the it's full, spray with the spray oil, coating the wonton's.

Close the air fryer and set the time for 7 minutes, and the temperature at 350 degrees.

When the wonton's have finished cooking, remove them from the air fryer basket and place on a plate.

Continue until you've finished all the wonton's needed.

Drizzle the wonton's with caramel sauce and sprinkle generously with powdered sugar before serving.

Apple Brown Betty

lemon (juiced)

brown sugar

tsp allspice

tsp kosher salt

unsalted butter (very cold)

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease a 9-inch baking dish using baking spray (or can use butter or shortening as well).

Toss the apple slices in the lemon juice and layer half of them in the baking dish.

In a food processor or blender, combine your flour, sugars, and spices. Pulse several times to mix well. Drop in butter 1 tablespoon at a time, pulsing in between each addition until all the butter is fully incorporated and coarse crumbs form.

Spread half of the crumbs over the apples in the baking dish and layer the second half of the apples over the top. Coat the apples with the second half of the crumbs.

Bake the Betty for 40-45 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the crumbs are crisp and golden brown.

Cool for 5 minutes, then serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream over the top.
